The scheme, which started as a invited competition, is a building block divided into two volumes. The western volume has apartments and faces on to the sea and the future Boulevard which runs along the Öresund through the city centre. The eastern volume has a hotel and cinemas and faces the square Mäster Palms plats. The two volumes are separated by Kaliforniegatan which we stretched out from its beginning at the Stadspark to end at the new Court house at the other side of the Konsul Perssons plats complex. The complete block has intricate subconstructions that make space for a 7-cinemas complex and a 2-story garage. The facades vary at different volumes. The apartment building along the Boulevard has recessed balconies to north, south and west.
