The project is situated in the Norrviken botanical gardens west of Båstad. The new cultural centre is geographically separated from the central Abelin’s gardens in order to give it an independent relationship with the existing buildings. The basic layout is as a square with verandas along the sides. There are two floors on split levels. The upper entrance floor contains exhibition halls with galleries and the upper part of the chamber music hall. The lower basement floor houses the lower part of the music hall, the café, exhibition space and service premises. In the east the house opens up with a two-storey high window.
