Final proposal for an addition to the University College of Sports in Stockholm.
The proposed building that we see here is the last one in a series. The site has an elevated position in the area and much effort was put into finding a location on the site that wouldn’t make the new addition too dominant. The chosen placement in the slope behind the existing main building allowed the building to have the desired size without having to look higher than the surrounding buildings. The chosen material for the addition was red brick.
